We’ve been supporting with our time, resources and experience for 30 years to help our customers improve their lives and the lives of those around them.
And We Now Want To Do More
From January 2014 we will be making £1m available over 5 years for individual grants and project funding awards that will help you make something better in your life and your community. These awards and grants are made possible by the financial strength of the organisation. Because of this we are able to give back some of our profits to you, our customer.
We could have given you this money directly, but for every customer that would have meant £2. Not enough to make a difference, but by pooling this money we can make things better.

Feedback From Our Customers
In October 2013, we held two regional forums inviting customers to provide feedback on the awards and grants. Fifty customers were in attendance providing us with great insights which will be used to shape the future of our work.
We also invited our Customer Panel to take part in a survey relating to the funding. 240 customers took part. Here’s what they had to say…
- Over 76% of customers surveyed said they either support or strongly support this fund.
- 42% of customers surveyed already have ideas for a project that would benefit from funding.
- Over 95% of customers surveyed reported that they would benefit from a Personal Grant themselves, have a family member who would benefit or could see how other customers may benefit.
