For annual multi-trip policies, the premium will vary depending on age, duration of holiday, destination, and type of policy. Some applications may involve medical screening. In these instances premiums may be higher. The maximum age of any insured person will be 79. Winter sports, Golf cover and certain hazardous activities will attract a premium loading. Maximum winter sports duration is 17 days, and maximum age limit is 64 years of age. No trip is to exceed 31 days.
A couple is defined as two co-habiting adults (of either sex), whether travelling together or separately. A family is defined as 2 co-habiting adults and up to 4 of their infants, children, step - children, foster children, grandchildren or legal wards aged 17 or under. A single parent family consists of 1 adult and up to 4 of their infants, children, step-children, foster children or legal wards aged 17 or under. Children are not insured to travel separately under the family policy. If you require cover for children to travel separately, the appropriate Child premium must be paid and the child must be traveling with an insured adult. A child must be aged 17 or under, an infant under 3, and an adult 18 or over. Children 3 -17 years attract a 50% discount on adult rates and infants under 3 years are insured free.
