You are eligible to apply for cover if you are aged 17–65, and a permanent resident of the UK.

Yes, you can arrange cover for your partner. If you take out a health cash plan from Engage Mutual, any of your children aged under 17 can be covered at no extra cost to help out with their dental and optical costs. Please see the cover levels section for details of how much you can claim back for your children.

No. If you’re aged 17-65 and living in the UK we guarantee to accept you without the need for a medical. Although you’re not covered for any pre-existing conditions, you will be covered for optical and dental treatments.

Yes, you have the right to cancel at any time. You also have a 28 day cooling off period that starts from when we accept your application. If you change your mind during this time, providing that you have not made a claim, we will refund any premiums paid.

No, we do not increase premiums because you get older. If you have any children on your plan, when they reach 17 years of age they must transfer to an adult  plan and adult premiums and benefits will apply.

You will not be able to claim for any illness or conditions that existed before you applied for the plan. This does not apply to Optical or Dental benefits.

No. It excludes any injuries sustained as a result of participating in professional or semi professional sports.

No. Life cover is included as part of your plan at no extra cost. This is a benefit that’s exclusive to the Engage Mutual's health cash plan and, depending on the level of plan you choose, provides up to £2,000 for your family at a difficult time. Please be aware that life cover applies only after your plan has been open for 2 years.
Making a claim is simple. Just ask for a receipt from your practitioner after you have received and paid for your treatment. Fill in a claim form and send it to us together with your receipt or any other required supporting information. We normally pay claims directly into your bank account. Claims must be received by us within 13 weeks of the date on the receipt.
