how established are you?
The society was established in 1980, and we are one of the UK's leading Friendly Societies, with over
230,000 members. We are a mutual organisation.
We are regulated by the Financial Services Authority and are members of the Financial Services Compensation
Scheme. This scheme is designed to protect you as an engage policyholder should we be unable to meet our
obligations to you.
how do I make payments into my plan?
For the majority of our plans, you have to pay by Direct Debit. This is cost-effective, and the efficiency and security of the scheme is monitored and protected by your own bank or building society.
are there any plans into which I can pay by cheque?
Yes. Lump sum payments into the equity ISA and education ISA must be by cheque. When paying monthly into these plans, the first payment is by cheque and all others by Direct Debit.
