engage Child Trust Fund

Bumble Bee

Welcome

The Child Trust Fund was introduced by the Government so that when a child reaches 18, they have some money behind them to start their adult life. Every child born since 1st September 2002 will receive a £250 CTF voucher from the government.

There are a number of reasons why HM Revenue & Customs allocate Child Trust Fund accounts. A common reason is that the voucher was not invested before the expiry date. These are known as Revenue Allocated Child Trust Funds.

If your child’s CTF has been allocated to engage we will write to inform you and (if you are the parent or legal guardian) offer you the chance to become the full ‘registered contact’ for the account. Becoming a ‘registered contact’ ensures that you can manage the account and receive information on it until the child reaches the age of 16.
