In short, we are a financial services organisation dedicated to providing simple, accessible, value-for-money products which aim to protect, preserve and enhance people's welfare. We are also one of the financial organisations committed to providing the Government's new Child Trust Fund savings initiative through HIFML. Our Child Trust Fund is available through a number of partner organisations as well as our dedicated website www.childtrustfund.com. HIFML also offer an equity ISA, education ISA and an OEIC.
engage Mutual Assurance is the title sponsor of the Rugby Super League, which has been renamed engage Super League.

Our vision sets out our long term aspiration for the Society.
As a provider of simple, good value savings and welfare products. our appeal should extend to all families across society, irrespective of their financial sophistication, wealth. Age or any other personal attributes. Our vision therefore is that we will build our reputation such that:
"Every household will choose to have a relationship with engage"

Our mission is well understood and has been consistently defined over many years:
"to enable people to help protect their welfare. We will do this by providing members with simple, accessible, simple, value for money savings and protection products".

Seven key values define the manner in which we expect to deal with our members, each other and our partners

As an organisation committed to developing our people, we have secured our Investors in People accreditation several times over. We appreciate job satisfaction is increased when people have the confidence to do the job correctly and receive the learning and development opportunities they need to fulfil their role. Furthermore, we believe every individual should be able to develop professionally. At engage Mutual Assurance, we work hard to ensure that employees are not "typecast" by other people's expectations of them. That is why we have deliberately encouraged cross-departmental job role moves, with the latest examples being: in-house catering to contact centre, cleaning to policy processing and contact centre to finance.

Commercial organisations are becoming increasingly aware that, in addition to achieving the desired
business results, there is a growing need to contribute to our local economy and environment.
Our status as a mutual organisation reinforces this view, and we are building our local relationships
to ensure that we are seen as more than just another employer.
Working with schools is high on our agenda, and we have established solid relationships within the
education sector to provide local children with quality, short-term experience that will benefit
them in the workplace. Looking ahead, we are in the process of developing an undergraduate placement
year for sandwich course students who are studying for a relevant business degree. With both these
initiatives, the value of the experience to the student and to the organisation is of paramount importance.
Supporting local charities is entwined within our business ethos and is not restricted to pure
financial contribution. Being situated next to a local hospice gives us several opportunities a year to
support their fund-raising, providing resources, facilities and employee time to help ensure their
efforts are maximised. Of course, employees who contribute, do so willingly and the sense of achievement
is reward in itself.
