The organisation has been providing simple, accessible and value for money products since 1980 and currently has over 500,000 customers of all ages.
Established as Homeowners Friendly Society, the organisation was rebranded as Engage Mutual Assurance in 2005, which through itself or one of its subsidiaries, provides the following products:

In 2014 Engage Mutual launched the Engage Foundation which will see the mutual commit at least £1 million over the next five years to help customers make a significant and lasting difference to their lives and their communities.
Made possible thanks to the on-going financial strength of the mutual, the Foundation will annually provide funding for customers for two Community Awards of £25k,15 Community Awards of £5k and 150 Personal Grants of £500.
