our commitment to Super League
We’re proud to be the title sponsor of the UK's premier rugby league competition, the Engage Super League. Rugby league is a fast paced and innovative sport and shares our focus on the family.
Our sponsorship of Super League began in 2005 and has helped to build significant awareness and understanding of the Engage Mutual brand. We are currently committed as title sponsor until the end of the 2011 season.
adding value to the sport
Extremely proactive as a sponsor, we aim to add value to key events in the Super League calendar by helping to enhance the fans' matchday experience. Look out for our fanzone at the Magic Weekend and Engage Super League Grand Final and you may also see our mascot, Super Sid the Savings Pig, at games throughout the season.
Through our dedicated Super League fans' website at engagesl.com we offer an interactive area with plenty of competitions, hints and tips on a healthier lifestyle and a kidzone for younger fans.
We also share the benefits of our sponsorship with fans by giving away tickets, signed merchandise and VIP trips to big matches.
customer benefits
As a mutual, it’s really important to us that we share the benefits of our sponsorship with our customers. We run a regular ticket draw for every match exclusively for customers, giving you the chance to sample the fast paced, exciting experience of an Engage Super League game free of charge.
Visit our Engage Mutual Super League ticket offer page for more information and to enter the ticket draw.
We also run exclusive ticket competitions for our main events such as the Engage Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford, and May's Magic Weekend which sees a whole round of fixtures take place in one stadium, creating a real carnival of rugby league.
community spirit
Our partnership with rugby league has given us the opportunity to support a range of charity and community activities. Working with each of the Engage Super League clubs has seen us involved in a variety of projects from summer camps and activity in schools, to championing street rugby programmes in urban areas.
We also run a man of the match scheme, in association with Sky Sports, which currently donates £100 to the Steve Prescott Foundation and £100 to a charity of the player’s choice for each game shown on live television. Steve Prescott is a former player currently battling against a rare form of cancer, and his Foundation raises much needed funds for the Christie Cancer Hospital in Manchester, one of Europe's leading cancer centres, and Try Assist, previously known as the Rugby League Benevolent Fund, which supports players whose lives are affected by serious injuries while playing Rugby League.
