usability testing on Engage Mutual online service

In June 2009, members of the customer panel were invited into our offices to conduct some usability testing for the new online service which was due to be launched later that year.

The aims of the research were:

  - to determine how well the prototype of our customer self service website performed in meeting user needs

  - to provide recommendations for changes to be made in order to increase the user experience and usability.

As a result of this testing several modifications and improvements were made to the service prior to it's successful launch.
