Steve Prescott Foundation cheque presentation

why they need your support

This challenge raised funds for The Steve Prescott Foundation which was launched by ex-Rugby League player Steve Prescott in 2007 after he was diagnosed with a rare and incurable form of stomach cancer.

The Foundation's aim is to inspire people to overcome adversity in whatever form it may come, whilst raising much need cash for two beneficiary charities close to Steve's heart: Try Assist and The Christie in Manchester.

Try Assist

Previously known as The Rugby League Benevolent Fund, Try Assist aims to support players whose lives are affected by serious injuries while playing the game of Rugby League. For more details visit their website by clicking here.

The Christie

The Christie Cancer Hospital in Manchester is one of Europe's leading cancer centres, treating over 40,000 patients a year. It is one of only two national specialist hospitals that specialises in Pseudomyxoma Peritonei in Great Britain. For more details visit their website by clicking here.
