Event Launch - Salford Watersports Centre

The Super League TV cameras joined Steve and a gallant group of rugby league journalists to launch the Paris to London; Marathon Challenge.

Appropriately the Foundation invited all to sample the kayak experience by taking part in a game of Kayak Rugby at Salford Quays.

Leeds Prison

Steve behind bars

In anticipation of Steve Prescott and Paul Sculthorpe's Paris to London Challenge, staff and inmates at HMP Leeds underwent a special physical challenge of their own completing the same mileage as the pair on treadmills, Concept II rowing machines and bikes.

Channel crossing

Saturday - rowing the English Channel

Five ex-rugby league players in a boat! Steve and Paul are joined by former St Helens team mates Chris Joynt, Bernard Dwyer and Steve Hall as they take on gale force 4 conditions and head across the world's busiest shipping lane.

Day 5

Thursday - Dover to London

It's an early start as Steve and Paul embark on the uphill journey out of Dover. They were aiming for the Excel Centre in London where they sign in for Sunday's big run!

Wednesday - no kayaking today!

Despite arriving in to Calais after three days of running and cycling (and being told the weather conditions are too severe to kayak the English Channel) spirits are definitely still high.

Watch Paul and Steve's interview from the deck of a very windy ferry.

Day 2 and 3

Monday/Tuesday - Paris to Calais

Just one day after their successful completion of the Paris Marathon Steve and Paul cycled 109 miles to Abbeville. The next day they continued north covering a further 77 miles to arrive in Calais.

Paris Marathon

Sunday - Paris Marathon

Steve and Paul are "ready to rumble" as their eight day challenge begins at the Arc de Triomphe and the 26 miles of the 2012 Paris Marathon.
