At Engage Mutual we have a strong tradition of charitable support and two of the main charities we help are Saint Michael's Hospice and the Steve Prescott Foundation; however our care and concern doesn't end there.
Our staff support a wide range of charities themselves and take part in lots of different fundraising activities - from cycling and climbing mountains, to a parachute jump and growing moustaches!
We would also like to lend support to charities held dear by you, our customers, so if you are taking on any fundraising challenges please let us know and we will try to help you where we can.
Saint Michael's
A significant part of our charitable work is with a neighbouring hospice and independent charity, Saint Michael's.
In recent years, our support has included sponsoring their flagship fundraising event the Midnight Walk, a quarter marathon sponsored walk around Harrogate...at midnight.
Further enhancing our support of Saint Michael's we have a volunteering scheme allowing our staff the opportunity to undertake a variety of tasks for the hospice within working hours.
the Steve Prescott Foundation
During our seven years as title sponsor of the Engage Super League we supported several Rugby League charities and one of these was the Steve Prescott Foundation.
The Foundation, led by former Rugby League player Steve Prescott MBE, raises funds for two charities by holding a number of crazy, and often gruelling challenges each year. The two beneficiary charities are The Christie Cancer Hospital and the Rugby League’s benevolent fund (Try Assist).
We became the Foundation's main sponsor in 2010 and have since supported them with two of their key events: the 'Engage Mutual - Keep on Running' challenge and the 'Engage Mutual end-to-end extreme'.
In 2012, the Foundation found yet another gruelling challenge to complete which was the Paris to London challenge. This involved running 2 marathons, kayaking across the English Channel and cycling between Paris and Calais and Dover to London - a total of over 300 miles!
