Festival launches sponsorship initiative
BUSINESSES are being called in to tune up for the Harrogate International Festival.
Organisers today launched the Festival Forty Partners with its first member to sign up - engage Mutual Assurance. The sponsorship initiative aims to boost the profile of the 16-day event while tailor-making a benefits package to enhance the festival experience for companies and their staff.
Festival Director William Culver-Dodds said: "We are delighted to have engage Mutual Assurance on board and to launch the Festival Forty Partners.
"This is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to support us during our 40th festival. In return for organisations' membership of the Festival Forty Partners, we are able to 'tailor-make' a range of benefits designed to not only enhance a company's profile but also to bring employees and guests in direct contact with the festival itself."
Andrew Haigh, Chief Executive at engage Mutual Assurance, said: "The Harrogate International Festival is a great and prestigious event which brings a unique focus to this town. engage Mutual Assurance is proud to be the first of the area's businesses to sign up for the Festival Forty Partners initiative and we are looking forward to being a part of this exciting event."
Running from July 21 to August 5, the festival has brought together a programme of some of the best musicians in the world. With headliners as diverse as Van Morrison, Youssou N'Dour, Pinchas Zukerman, Evelyn Glennie and the Afro-Cuban All Stars.
In celebration at being the first Festival Forty Partner, engage Mutual Assurance will be giving away three pairs of tickets to see Van Morrison perform in the Harrogate International Centre on July 30.
